“Bernard, the German voyager, is a peculiar and unique man for our country side.
This man is an ‘Aussteiger, as the Germans would say, a social revolutionist who lives unlike the normal with his style of living. His history and life is like a book we would sav.
Original and interesting but also peculiar a ‘normal’ living
person would need to think a lot to understand Bernard’s type of revolution.
He began as a printer in Germany with the old Gutenberg system, the traditional way like ‘Dimokratis’ and the ‘Politika’ many years ago. Next he studied to be an engineer for printing. One day he changed occupation and became a Taxi driver. Later he became involved with music and organized concerts, presenting pop stars like Steppenwolf. He then became a real estate broker and one sunny morning years ago was his big revolutionary step, he bought a Land Rover.
Later a boat and began sailing, from Africa to the Mediterranean and the Aegean Seas. His first ship sunk and with his second, he voyages constantly the world writing books (7 books, 60.000 publishings) almost all written with a derisive style. Against the ‘normal’.
All of this being the reason the BBC has shown a number of times their interest for him and has followed him at times showing his lifestyle. Bernard has travelled a lot. He also wrote a book on the Greeks with his usual style and he had a program on Greek TV about his life and his future plans.

With fifty Bernard began painting by chance, when he bought a Nesquik drink for his son Lennon. There
was a painting set included. Bernard painted ten pictures from Mitilini harbor,
where he moored his boat. A TV team from WDR German Television visited him to make a feature about his life. There was an art historian with them, who was fascinated from Bernard’s unique style and told him to force his kind of art.
Since 2002 exhibits worldwide. So his aquarelles, oil and acrylics have been seen not only in Internet galleries, but also in National Hall, London. Some collectors in the USA, Hawaii, England, France and Germany bought his paintings and also in Greece he exhibits. Even filmstar Jack Nicholson
